identity

ever since I was little, I was always curious about the things around me. throughout my life, I gather more and more knowledge about my past and how it’s shaped my present. growing up as a jewish, gay woman, I constantly went through a struggle of acceptance, and learning what truly shapes my identity. as I learn more about my identity through photography, this project will evolve as well, consisting of all the pieces I need in order for me to know what makes me who I am, and how this period of growth and search for myself will affect my future.

isn’t it crazy how the decisions we make in our lives have led us up to where we are in this very moment? I still wonder what might have happened if one of my parents did something different, would I still even be here? by figuring out how my parents ended up together and started their beautiful journey as husband and wife, and mom and dad, I realized I had to start from the beginning, comparing each stage of their life up until they met, where everything seemed to click.
